Growing Up?

I really believe it is one of the great challenges in life to stop and look around and be grateful for everything you have.
I feel like I am currently in that cross road where I am living somewhere between a grown ups life and a teenagers.

Life keeps getting busier and busier yet all I am dreaming about is sleeping in and nesting at home. Does this mean I am growing up?

Over night I have gone from reading trashy mags to craving interior magazines. Yikes!  Ah now to dream about having the grown up house above with the toasty fire place.

Dyptique Love

I am a candle addict. Yep. Completley addicted. The unfortuante problem about my addiction is that I am not addicted to any candles, just the expensive ones. And, boy oh boy is their a difference. You can smell a cheap candle a mile away. My addiction and true candle love is for Dyptique.

My first Diptyque experience occured years ago when we organised a PR launch where each editor was given a candle as a gift. I too was lucky enough to recieve one. I will never forget lighting it only for special occasions.

I then went to the stunning store in Paris. The Dyptique homeland in St Germain. So, so beautiful. I treated myself to one then and still only lit it for special occasions. When I was in London I worked at the PR agency who represented Diptyque. I felt like I was working with a serious celebrity. I was starstruck.

So my Dyptique obsession is still around and I have just found a genius idea (above) on how to really get the most out of my candles! Addict indeed.

Moments

I actually find it incredible how wise you do get with age. Although I am nowhere near old and have a lot left to live, I have learnt one very important lesson. Collect moments not things.

I have a wardrobe overflowing and am still learning but truly, the best times of my life so far have been the fun moments. The travelling, the long dinners, the great company and everything inbetween.

A girl at work in her early twenties spends every cent she earns on her wardrobe, cars, the newest and the best but she hasn't travelled or ever left our shores.

My life lesson is to enjoy the small things. It really is the journey not the destintation spent with great friends.

Kastelorizo

Kastelorizo. A weird word I know. But one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I spent my lunchtime looking at dream holiday destinations and pictures on Pinterest when I spotted a photo of a place I recognised.

It was a shoot from Marie Claire Turkey and there in the background is the stunning gem, Kastelorizo.

My Nanna was Greek and her family came from this island. I went there a few years ago whilst living in London have been desperate to get back there ever since. It is filled with beautiful Australians who left the island after the war hit but go back every July to keep Kazi what it is today.

Ahhh am now back to day dreaming about going back to the 'homeland'. Family holiday perhaps??

Easter

Wow. I am really ready for the Easter break and to have some days down at the beach to sleep, eat and drink.

I always find the best part about Easter is the relaxed nature of everything. It is the time when I truly switch off and rest. Long walks, great books and serious sleep ins.

We are heading down to the beach and the temperatures are going to be seriously varied. From 30 degrees one day to 12 and raining the next. Couldn't be more perfect really. Swims in the ocean and red wines around the fire.

Lets just hope the Easter bunny find us.
